THE COMPANY
Miller Electric Supply, Incorporated, is an Iowa-based company providing
electrical supplies and training services to individuals, contractors,
and companies in the greater Dubuque, Iowa, area. The company has positioned
itself as a leader in sales and distribution of electrical supplies, which
includes hardware used in electrical installations to computer software
utilized in programmable logic controllers. Miller Electric intends to
capitalize on the growing opportunities in the electric wholesale business.
The company's stock is currently held by President Kevin Oyen and Vice
President Lynne Oyen.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The company procures products from various manufacturers (a complete list,
but not limited to, is included in the appendix) to personnel qualified
in the installation and use of the products. The company provides training
services to interested parties.
MARKETING AND SALES STRATEGY
Miller Electric differentiates itself in the market by aiming to satisfy
the customer whether on an individual basis or on the corporate level.
The sales counter is open five days a week, Monday through Friday from
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These hours are flexible if the customer makes
pre-arranged plans or on an emergency basis. Outside sales are secured
predominantly through face-to-face contacts. The company is also a member
of the IMARK group.
OPERATIONS
In 1963, Miller electric Supply opened its first distribution center with
three employees. The original store had 8,000 square feet utilized for
both product and office space. Today, at its Dubuque location, the company
has nineteen employees and has relocated to a building with 36,000 square
feet of warehouse and 4,000 square feet for office. The company opened
a branch warehouse/office October, 1994 in Clinton, Iowa and has acquired
Dubuque Electric Motor.
